Desenaj

Hello, thank you for visiting Desenaj Art. I am Destiny, the founder of Desenaj Art. I am an artist who creates mixed-media abstract art. My inspiration came from my late grandmother, who encouraged me to crochet, sew, and later design my clothes. My great-grandmother also assisted in the idea that I design clothes for my Barbie dolls.

From there, my imagination set sail. I started taking my first art classes in high school. Learning to develop my craft, I was awarded awards and recognition, from ceramic vases to a dress made of trash bags, candy wrappers, and duct tape. Let's say my creative eye allowed me to break boundaries. Since 2019, I have narrowed my focus on multimedia art. I fell in love with the idea that when you are painting, you have no limits, and in a way, you develop your language. It is a language without words but holds strong meaning. In 2020, I created my first mural in Houston, only blocks away from the famous graffiti wall. I love to develop different textures using molding paste or even pages from books such as the Bible. Allow my creations to invite you into my boundless imagination.
